Before you decide

Is it right for you?

We tell you frankly when this treatment is a good option and when we'd rather assess you first.

Ideal if…

  • You're overweight or have obesity and want serious medical management
  • You've tried to lose weight by changing habits and couldn't keep it off
  • You're willing to attend follow-up visits and get any tests required
  • You understand that the medication supports lifestyle changes and doesn't replace them

We assess you first if…

  • You want to lose a few kilos fast before an event
  • You're pregnant, breastfeeding or planning to become pregnant
  • You or a family member have a history of certain thyroid tumors
  • You've had pancreatitis: in that case, a specific medical evaluation is required

How we do it at Quantum

A medical protocol, not a catalog

Every plan starts with a consultation: we listen to what you want to achieve, review your medical history and decide whether this treatment is right for you.

  1. 01

    Medical consultation

Before any treatment is applied, we review your case and explain what is possible and what isn't.

  2. 02

    D10 Facial Scanner

Everything starts with a consultation, not a catalog: we analyze your skin and scalp before recommending any treatment.

  3. 03

    Follow-up visit

We review the result with you and adjust the plan if needed.

What it is and how it works

Medical weight loss

We work with semaglutide (a GLP-1 agonist) and tirzepatide (a dual GIP/GLP-1 agonist), prescription medications that help control appetite. The medication, dose and schedule are set in your consultation; if it isn't indicated, it isn't prescribed.

The medication is just one piece. What sustains the results is medical supervision, changes in eating and activity, and a maintenance or gradual tapering strategy so the weight doesn't come back.

  • 01Full medical history
  • 02Prescribed only when indicated
  • 03Dose adjusted at each follow-up visit
  • 04Ongoing medical support

How the program works

A medical process lasting several months, with a consultation, regular follow-up visits, and ongoing monitoring.

  1. The clinic's medical director with the consultation team

    01

    Complete medical consultation

Medical history, personal and family history, medications, and measurements. If needed, we order tests before deciding.

  2. The medical director in her office

    02

    Plan and prescription, if appropriate

If it's indicated, we explain the treatment, how it's given, its expected effects, and the warning signs. If it's not, we tell you.

  3. The medical director in clinical scrubs

    03

    Follow-up visits and adjustments

At each follow-up visit, we review how you're tolerating it and your progress, adjust the dose, and plan how to maintain the results.

How it progresses

  1. First appointment

Consultation with your medical history and, if needed, tests.

  2. Each follow-up visit

We review side effects and progress, and adjust the dose.

  3. At the end of the cycle

A maintenance plan or gradual tapering to maintain the results.

Safety

Your health comes first

These are the medical criteria we follow from your consultation through every follow-up visit.

Original products registered with INVIMA

  • 01

    Always after a consultation

Semaglutide and tirzepatide are prescription medications. We only recommend them after reviewing your medical history and ruling out contraindications.

  • 02

    We explain the side effects

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation or a feeling of fullness are common, especially when starting or increasing the dose. We explain how to manage them and when to seek care.

  • 03

    Clear contraindications

They're not used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you or your family have a history of certain thyroid tumors; if you've had pancreatitis, they require special care.

  • 04

    We don't promise kilos

Everyone responds differently, and it's possible to regain weight after stopping the medication. That's why we work with you on habits and a maintenance plan.

Get ready

Care before and after

The same recommendations we give you at the clinic.

Before

  1. 01You can inject at any time of day, with or without food. There is no fasting requirement.
  2. 02Stay well hydrated in the days before treatment; drink more water than usual.
  3. 03Disclose any history of pancreatitis, thyroid problems, medullary cancer, type 1 diabetes, or gout.
  4. 04Let us know if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, breastfeeding, or have a family history of thyroid cancer.
  5. 05Report all medications you take, especially diabetes or weight-affecting medications.
  6. 06If you have kidney, liver, or heart problems, or history of stroke, inform us.
  7. 07Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before injection.
  8. 08Read and sign the informed consent form after all your questions are answered.

After

  1. 01It is normal to experience mild to moderate nausea, appetite loss, taste changes, or mild gastrointestinal discomfort in the first few days.
  2. 02Aggressive hydration (3 to 4 liters daily) is critical to minimize symptoms.
  3. 03Eat small, frequent portions of protein-rich, lean, easy-to-digest foods.
  4. 04Gradually increase fiber to prevent constipation; this is common with these treatments.
  5. 05Follow a high-protein diet to preserve muscle mass while losing weight.
  6. 06Regular exercise (cardio + resistance) 3 to 5 days per week enhances results.
  7. 07Sleep 7 to 8 hours; rest is critical for metabolism and gastrointestinal tolerance.
  8. 08Follow the dosing protocol: weekly injections, starting with low doses and increasing gradually based on tolerance.

What's normal and what to expect

Progressive and sustained weight loss is the expected result. Metabolism accelerates, appetite decreases, and satiety comes faster. Some patients feel more effects at the beginning; these typically diminish as the body adapts. We monitor your progress at follow-up visits every 4 weeks, adjusting doses and reassessing results.

Frequently asked questions

We answer your questions

Have another question? Message us on WhatsApp and our medical team will answer.

How much does it cost?

There are options from $800.000, and the price depends on the medication and dose prescribed. During your medical consultation, we determine which one applies to you.

How much weight will I lose?

It's not possible to promise: your habits, the dose you tolerate, your starting point and your metabolism all play a role. Be wary of anyone who guarantees you a number.

What side effects can occur?

Digestive discomfort is most common: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, reflux or fullness, which are usually more noticeable when starting or increasing the dose. There are also serious but less frequent effects, and we go over them with you.

Who shouldn't use these medications?

They're not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or when you or a family member have a history of certain thyroid tumors. If you've had pancreatitis or gallbladder disease, a specific medical evaluation is required.

Can I buy the medication and inject it myself?

We don't recommend it. These are prescription medications, and to use them safely you need a consultation, dose adjustments and follow-up.

What happens when I stop the treatment?

Your appetite may come back and you may regain some of the weight. To prevent this, we work on nutrition, physical activity and a tapering or maintenance plan that you set with your doctor.

Is this a cosmetic treatment?

No. It's medical weight management. If you're also concerned about your measurements or skin laxity, we'll review in your consultation whether it makes sense to add other treatments.
