- The lips are a sensitive area. Topical anesthetic can be used, and many products already contain an anesthetic, so almost all patients describe it as tolerable discomfort.
- Will my lips look overdone?
- That's not how we work. We agree on the design with you and inject gradually. Adding more in another session is simpler than removing it.
- How long do the results last?
- Usually several months, depending on the product and your metabolism. Because the lips move a lot, results there tend to last less than in other areas.
- How long does the swelling last?
- It goes down gradually over the first 3 to 5 days; a mild bruise may appear. The result is visible right away, and the lips settle into their final shape around day 7 to 10.

What it is and how it works
Lip filler
Hyaluronic acid is a molecule your body makes naturally. In the lips, it's used as a gel to add volume, define the border, correct differences between the upper and lower lip and hydrate. Before injecting, we look at your whole face, because the proportion with your nose, chin and smile is what makes the result look natural.
It's a good option if you feel your lips are thin, lack definition or are dry and you want a subtle change. It isn't for exaggerated volume, and we postpone it if there's an active cold sore, infection, pregnancy, breastfeeding or an allergy to the product.
The session takes 30 to 45 minutes and the change shows that same day; swelling usually goes down within 2 to 5 days. The result lasts for months, because your body reabsorbs the gel over time, and we inject gradually: it's always easier to add more later. Pricing starts at $1.200.000 per syringe.

- 05Avoid intense exercise, saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzis, and exposure to intense heat during the first 48 hours.
- 06Use soft and hydrating lip balms, especially ones with hyaluronic acid.
- 07Avoid direct sun exposure; use sunscreen on your lips when necessary. If you experience discomfort, you can apply ice to your lips (with a cloth, not directly) during the first few days.
What's normal and what to expect
It is normal to experience swelling, redness, sensitivity, mild discomfort, sensation of tightness, or small bruises during the first few days. Swelling tends to diminish gradually during the first 3 to 5 days. Results are visible immediately but improve in the following days as swelling decreases. Your lips will reach their final shape around day 7 to 10.

What if I don't like the result?
As general information, hyaluronic acid can be dissolved with hyaluronidase when there's a medical reason to do so. Our medical team would evaluate your case.
Can I combine it with other areas?
Yes. Sometimes the profile looks more balanced if the nose or chin is also treated. We review this during your facial diagnosis.
When can't it be done?
We don't recommend it with an active cold sore, with an infection in the area, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with uncontrolled autoimmune diseases, or if you're allergic to any of its components.
