  • Your skin is tanned or you've had recent sun exposure
  • You're pregnant
  • You take photosensitizing medications that haven't been reviewed

How we do it at Quantum

A medical protocol, not a catalog

Every plan starts with a consultation: we listen to what you want to achieve, review your medical history and decide whether this treatment is right for you.

  1. 01

    Medical consultation

Before any treatment is applied, we review your case and explain what is possible and what isn't.

  2. 02

    D10 Facial Scanner

Everything starts with a consultation, not a catalog: we analyze your skin and scalp before recommending any treatment.

  3. 03

    Follow-up visit

We review the result with you and adjust the plan if needed.

What it is and how it works

Laser hair removal

The laser emits light that the pigment in the hair absorbs; that energy damages the follicle and reduces its ability to grow. It only works on hairs in the growth phase, which is why you need several sessions spaced apart. It's a gradual reduction and, over time, may require maintenance.

It works best on dark hair and is a good alternative if you're tired of shaving or waxing, or if you get ingrown hairs. On white, gray, very blond, or red hair, the response is low. We don't use it on tanned skin or after recent sun exposure, during pregnancy, or if you take photosensitizing medications that haven't been reviewed.

Depending on the area, each session takes 10 to 30 minutes and you go back to your routine the same day. Most people need 4 to 8 sessions. Pricing is per area and per session, from $40.000.

Your session

Step by step

Here's how your treatment goes, from the consultation to the follow-up visit.

  1. 01

Assessment of your skin and hair

We assess your skin type, the thickness and color of your hair, the medications you take, and your sun exposure to determine whether laser is right for you.

    Consultation before you start

  2. 02

    A session for each area

With the area already shaved, we apply the laser; it feels like small snaps of heat on the skin.

10 to 30 min per area

  3. 03

    Session schedule

We repeat sessions every few weeks, depending on how your hair grows, and monitor how your skin responds.

    Usually 4 to 8 sessions

Safety and natural results

Less is more

We want you to look like yourself, at your best. These are the criteria we follow in every session.

Original products registered with INVIMA

  • 01

    Settings based on your skin

Your skin type and hair color determine how we set up the device. With darker skin, we work with extra caution.

  • 02

    No recent sun

We don't treat tanned skin, to lower the risk of burns or dark spots.

  • 03

    What you can expect

Our goal is to reduce hair gradually. Before we start, we let you know that gray or light hair responds poorly.

  • 04

    Eye and skin protection

We use eye protection and, throughout the session, monitor the treated skin to make adjustments if it's too uncomfortable.

Care before and after

The same recommendations we give you at the clinic.

Before

  1. 01Arrive with clean skin, free of creams, oils, deodorant, makeup, sunscreen, or self-tanning products.
  2. 02Shave the treatment area 12 to 24 hours before the procedure as instructed by your medical team.
  3. 03Avoid waxing, tweezing, threading, or hair removal methods that remove hair from the root for 4 weeks before.
  4. 04Avoid intense sun exposure, tanning beds, or self-tanning products, which increase the risk of irritation.
  5. 05Avoid retinoids, skin-lightening agents, and irritating products 5 days before: retinol, MELINE Night, acids, exfoliants.
  6. 06Inform us if you have wounds, active infection, dermatitis, sunburn, herpes, folliculitis, or significant sensitivity.
  7. 07If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking photosensitizing antibiotics, or have a relevant medical condition, inform us.
  8. 08Read and sign the informed consent after all your questions have been answered.

After

  1. 01It is normal to experience redness, warmth, sensitivity, mild swelling around the follicle, burning sensation in the first hours.
  2. 02Avoid saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzis, swimming pools, and intense heat for 24 to 48 hours.
  3. 03Avoid direct sun exposure; use sunscreen if the treated area is exposed.
  4. 04Keep your skin hydrated with gentle products and avoid perfumes, acids, retinoids, or exfoliants for 3 to 5 days.
  5. 05Do not scratch, rub, or exfoliate the treated area if it is sensitive.
  6. 06Do not wax, tweeze, thread, or use methods that remove hair from the root between sessions. You may only shave.
  7. 07Treated hair will shed progressively over 1 to 3 weeks; this is normal and does not mean it is growing back.
  8. 08Look forward to your next appointment as recommended by your physician to continue your treatment.

What's normal and what to expect

It is normal to experience redness, warmth, sensitivity, mild swelling around the follicle in the first hours. Treated hair will shed progressively over 1 to 3 weeks. Results are progressive and require multiple sessions (generally 4 to 8) depending on skin type and hair. They depend on: hair color and thickness, treatment area, skin phototype, hormonal factors, and session consistency. Improvement is noted between sessions; consult with your physician about optimal spacing for your case.

Frequently asked questions

We answer your questions

Have another question? Message us on WhatsApp and our medical team will answer.

What does it cost?

It starts at $40.000 per area. The final cost depends on how many areas you want to treat and how many sessions you need.

How many sessions will I need?

Usually 4 to 8 per area, several weeks apart. It depends on your hair type, the area, your skin, and hormonal factors.

Does it hurt?

It feels like snaps of heat on the skin. In more sensitive areas, like the bikini line, it may feel stronger, though it's usually tolerable.

Are the results permanent?

It achieves a gradual, long-lasting reduction in hair, but finer hairs may remain or new ones may appear due to hormonal changes. Some people choose to have maintenance sessions.

Does it work on light hair?

The laser targets the pigment in the hair. If your hair is red, light blond, gray, or white, the response is minimal or none.

Does it have side effects?

The usual effects are redness and small raised bumps that go away within hours. Less often, burns or changes in skin color can occur, especially if there was sun exposure.

Can I have it done if I'm tanned?

No. You need to wait for the tan to fade to lower the risk of burns and dark spots.

Who shouldn't have it?

We don't recommend it during pregnancy, on tanned skin, if there's an infection or lesions in the area, or if you take photosensitizing medications that haven't been reviewed.
