Before you decide
Is it right for you?
We tell you frankly when this treatment is a good option and when we'd rather assess you first.
Ideal if…
- You see lines running down from the corners of your mouth toward your chin
- People tell you that you look sad or upset when your face is at rest
- You notice the corners of your mouth turning down
- You want to soften the area without changing your smile
We assess you first if…
- The line comes from significant jaw sagging that needs a different approach
- You expect to transform your whole lower face at once with a single syringe
- You're pregnant or breastfeeding
Before you decide
The questions we hear most, answered straight.
- Does it hurt?
- You'll feel pressure and a few pricks. Almost all patients describe it as tolerable discomfort.
- How long does it last?
- Usually several months; it depends on the product, your metabolism and how much the area moves.

How we do it at Quantum
A medical protocol, not a catalog
Every plan starts with a consultation: we listen to what you want to achieve, review your medical history and decide whether this treatment is right for you.
- 01
Medical consultation
Before any treatment is applied, we review your case and explain what is possible and what isn't.
- 02
D10 Facial Scanner
Everything starts with a consultation, not a catalog: we analyze your skin and scalp before recommending any treatment.
- 03
Follow-up visit
We review the result with you and adjust the plan if needed.
What it is and how it works
Marionette lines
Marionette lines, also known as "bitterness lines," start at the corners of the mouth and run down toward the chin. They make your resting face look sad or annoyed even when you're not. With hyaluronic acid we fill the hollow in the area and support the corner of the mouth, so your expression looks calmer.
It's for you if you notice these lines or feel the corners of your mouth are drooping, and you want to soften them without transforming your face. If the bigger issue is that your jaw has lost support, we may suggest treating it as well; a single syringe won't change your whole lower face. We don't do it during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
The session takes 30 to 45 minutes, results are visible right away, and you're back to your routine in 24 to 48 hours. The area may feel a bit tight for the first few days due to swelling. The effect lasts for months, and pricing starts at $1.200.000 per syringe.
- 01Softer marionette lines
- 02Better-supported mouth corners
- 03A calm expression
- 04No surgery
Your session
Step by step
Here's how your treatment goes, from the consultation to the follow-up visit.
- 01
Diagnosis with the facial analyzer
We look at the lines, the corners of your mouth and how much support your lower face has, and use that to define the right plan for you.
Medical assessment before treatment
- 02
Injection in the area
We place the hyaluronic acid gradually in the lines and in the support of the mouth corners, checking for symmetry.
30 to 45 min
- 03
Results and follow-up
The area looks softer right away and settles over the following days. We give you aftercare instructions and schedule your follow-up visit.

What's normal and what to expect
It is normal to experience redness, swelling, sensitivity, small bruises, a feeling of pressure, pinpoint injection marks or small raised areas in the following days.
With skin booster treatments, you may notice small bumps or superficial irregularities that usually improve gradually within a few days.
Results develop gradually and depend on the product, the treated area, skin quality and your individual response. Multiple sessions may be required.
We look forward to seeing you for your follow-up appointment as recommended by your physician to evaluate your progress and determine the continuation of your treatment.

We answer your questions
Have another question? Message us on WhatsApp and our medical team will answer.
How much does marionette line treatment cost?
Each syringe starts at $1.200.000. During your consultation we confirm whether that's enough for your case.
How are they different from nasolabial folds?
Nasolabial folds run from the nose to the mouth, while marionette lines run down from the corners of the mouth toward the chin. They can be treated together or separately.
Does it hurt?
You'll feel pressure and a few pricks. Almost all patients describe it as tolerable discomfort.
How long does it last?
Usually several months; it depends on the product, your metabolism and how much the area moves.
Will my smile change?
It shouldn't. We work with the natural movement of your mouth. For the first few days the area may feel a bit tight due to swelling.
What side effects can it cause?
It's common to have swelling, tenderness or a mild bruise that go away within days. A serious complication is uncommon; even so, we explain which warning signs to watch for.
When can't it be done?
We don't recommend it during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with an active infection in the area, with uncontrolled autoimmune diseases, or if you're allergic to any of its components.
